R&D plays a key role in Advantech vision with the aim of keeping innovation continuously alive.

That's why since its foundation Advantech involved, as staff, people interested in the study of new technologies. Technologies able to improve the mineral wool market in terms of productivity, energy savings and environmental protection.

Advantech is currently engaged in several research activities ranging from production processes to materials, up to finished products.

We are heavily investing in this area, and in 2011 a new Advantech R&D centre will start operation in Nysa (Poland). 1,500 sq.mt. of state-of-the-art laboratoris and workshops with a full-scale test production line will host research activities in the following areas:

• melting efficiency
• Emissions reduction
• Fibre forming - New spinners shape and composition
• Special products formatting
• New types of binders and relevant plants
• Products and applications for industries other than building construction
• Insulation products based on E-glass
